Beijing - Day 3 (4.29.19)

It’s a smoggy day, but the view never gets old. I guess it won’t be too bad being here for the next 4 months.

I went to the gym and then tried to get food on the 63rd floor, but they said it wasn’t open for lunch until 11am. It was 10:30am. I decided to venture on my own to the ground floor. I haven’t ventured out too far from the hotel, but kind of like Singapore there is a whole underground city where the subway train is. Speaking of Subway, I found a Subway sandwich shop close by. I decided that it was a safe bet and got a 6 inch veggie delight which cost 15yuen ($2.65). Coming back to my room I was glad to eat something and devoured it right away.

Later in the evening i was scheduled to practice with another singer, Reina, that would be performing with me on Saturdays. Practice went went, although there were many songs I didn’t know on her list. It seems they really like these old jazz standards here, which I don’t like at all. We decided to make a list of songs to practice for the next time.

I had the rest of the night off and i’ve Been wanting to watch “Avengers: End Game”. The other day I saw that they the underground subway, it would take to to a mall nearby which has a theater in it. Finding it took me awhile though, I got lost a few times.

But I found it! And the movie was great! Nice way to end a busy day.
