Beijing - Day 2 (4.28.19)

Day 2 in Beijing! I have been waking up early and hitting the gym. But today I decided to go to the pool. It’s huge! I did a few laps and just hung out in the hot tub, all by myself there was no one else there. The view from every floor is crazy. The hotel lobby is on the 63 floor, and the guest rooms are underneath. Mine is on the 49th. The pool and gym are on the 59th. You can see the famous CCTV tower from my room.

at 11am, I met Katniss, my contact for the booking agency, at the China Bar where I would perform. The bar is under construction right now, so it was difficult to imagine what the layout would look like, but it seems like an “L” shaped layout where I would perform at the junction and can see down both lengths of the “L”. There was a crew of seven helping me set up and sound checking. The sound board was quite complicated because it also in connected to speakers on 3 other levels of the hotel. Sound check went well besides and I don’t anyone expected me to perform the violin and guitar together.

I spent the rest of the day in my room catching up on my computer, and redesigning this website, updating it with new features. I’m hoping to start making new videos soon!
