I Can Clone Myself

Editing Process

I recently watched a video by @ethanfrenchmusic in which there are multiple versions of himself playing different instruments in the same room, essentially playing all the parts of a song at the same time. I thought this was quite a fun way to make a video, so after doing some research, I found the secret to making this a reality. It requires filming all of the parts of the video by keeping the camera locked in the same position, and then filming each clone in different parts of the room. Then in the editing software I have to to match up the videos and then using a masking tool, I can add in the other clones making it look like they are all in the same room.

I think this is a really fun visual way to show how I perform my live shows, essentially “cloning” my sound with a looping pedal. I’m thinking I will keep trying to create more videos like this because it’s fun!
