About

Daniel started playing violin when he was 5 years old, and performed in school orchestra through his middle and high school years. When he reached his university years, he started playing violin in a few rock bands; during this time he also played a lot of acoustic guitar. Throughout his years in college and after he graduated he built up his reputation as a musical performer who could cross many different genres including country, rock, rap, and post hard-core punk. He eventually created a solo performance which was built up from his time performing at open mic night for a few years. He started using a looping pedal after a friend let him borrow a DVD of Howie Day’s “The Madrigals EP”. By this time he was working for a company as a junior engineer for a few years, and after getting enough paid gigs, he quit his job at the end of 2009.

He started traveling a lot during this time; driving all over the west from New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and Texas. He was performing as many shows as he could, because he read that the Beatles used to perform over 300 shows a year.

In 2012, he moved to Austin, Texas around this time because it was a big music hub, but soon found out there were no paying gigs (too many musicians.). He only stayed in Austin for a few months before going back on the road, to find more gigs. One of the days he was in Austin; a friend told him they were going to the America’s Got Talent audition at the convention center the next morning. Daniel decided to go too, and was picked to be one of the top 100 acts of Season 7.

America’s Got Talent, wasn’t a great experience for him, but it did get him to Las Vegas for a week. While he was there, he was able to go to a local open mic and do some performing. There was something about Las Vegas that inspired him. Luckily, later in 2012, Daniel got an email about doing a residency at a local casino and hotel in Las Vegas.

The Red Rock Casino and Hotel, was a popular place for the local Las Vegas residents to visit. It was located a good 25 minute drive from the Las Vegas strip, in an area called Summerlin, which is a vibrant suburb of the greater Las Vegas area. After flying to Las Vegas to do an audition for the hotel, he was given the residency at the Onyx Bar every Friday and Saturday night from 6pm to midnight. He started performing at the Red Rock right away, and didn’t even have a place to live for a few weeks.

Soon, there were crowds gathering around the small stage every Friday and Saturday night. This would lead to getting a residency at the Lily Bar and Lounge inside the Bellagio every Tuesday evening. Here he would showcase his one man show for the next few years, which would bring more opportunities all over Las Vegas, and eventually overseas.

Invitation to Asia
One night, after performing at the Lily Bar, he got a business card in his tip jar that said, “If you want to come to Asia, let me know.” It was from the general manager of the Park Hyatt Beijing. Daniel was already planning on starting a new residency at the Ritz-Carlton Singapore, so in 2019, he finally made it to Beijing, China.

He performed on the 65th floor at China Bar at the Park Hyatt Beijing until January of 2020. He was planning on taking a week off of performing during the Lunar New Year, but as soon as he landed back in the United States, all of the flights back to China were cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The pandemic left him without his music gear, as he left it all back in China.

Van Life (2020 to 2022)
He stayed at a friends house for a few months, but after realizing that the pandemic would last much longer than anticipated, he bought a camper van, and started traveling full time again when covid restrictions hit Las Vegas and all of the casinos and hotels were shut down. He traveled all over the west again, just like a few years ago, performing when he could. He found some other ‘van-lifers’ and performed at community events at many different locations. He even drove down in Baja, Mexico and performed a surprise sunset show on a beach in Todos Santos.

Back to Asia
When the covid restrictions were finally being lifted, he got a message to go back overseas; this time to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He performed at Sora Bar in The Rosewood Hotel for four months, and really enjoyed being back in Asia. He was also cast as an actor for a beer commercial while he was there.

Virgin Voyages
After Cambodia, he flew to Barcelona to perform on his first cruise ship with Virgin Voyages. This one month voyage took him to many port cities along the Mediterranean Sea, and finally crossing the Atlantic Ocean to Miami, Florida. Later that year, he flew to Japan, and reunited with the General Manager from the Park Hyatt Beijing, who was now at the Park Hyatt Niseko.

Japan
Park Hyatt Niseko is a 5 Star resort at the base of a ski mountain in Hokkaido, Japan. Over the last few years, the area has become really popular for international skiers and snowboarders, and the hotel was in need of some entertainment for these guests. Daniel performed six nights a week for the entire season and entertained guests from all over the world. After the season was finished, he went to the Andaz Tokyo and performed there for two months. He also performed for Miss Universe Japan 2023.

Perth
One of the executives from a casino in Las Vegas, messaged Daniel and asked him to perform at the Crown Hotel and Casino located in Perth, Australia. So he arrived in September of 2023, and started performing at a few venues within the hotel and casino.

Dubai to Sydney
Daniel flew to Dubai to get on another Virgin Voyages ship called Resilient Lady. This time the month long trip would travel from Dubai to Sydney with stops in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia along the way.

Back to Japan
Daniel arrived back to Park Hyatt Niseko to perform for another winter season from December 15, 2023 to March 31, 2024. During this time he also did special performances for Miss Niseko World and Mr. Niseko World Competitions, and the guest artist for the Niseko Film Festival.

Resilient Lady
Daniel will be doing another cruise from Durban, South Africa all the way to Athens, Greece from April 14th, 2024 to May 9th, 2024.
